The strong scientific foundation became especially useful when I steered myself to study design, painting, and sculpture. My upbringing in the eastern culture emphasized the connection between focus and mindful coordination through writing. The freehand calligraphic creations are often done without sketches. My metal sculpture pieces also have a calligraphic influence. “
